Hockey Canada president/CEO Bob Nicholson will be in the city on Monday to make a special announcement on behalf of the City of Penticton, BC Hockey, the British Columbia Hockey League and Canadian Junior Hockey League regarding an international hockey tournament coming to Penticton and the South Okanagan Events Centre this fall.
Also on hand will be Penticton mayor Dan Ashton, city councilor Andrew Jakubeit, Penticton Vees goalie Sean Bonar and Rylan Ferster, head coach/general manager, Salmon Arm Silverbacks (BCHL) who is GM for Team Canada West.
